A Boot Collector Feature
A genuine vintage handmade label from the 1960s and '70s — not to be confused with the modern "Laramie" style name other brands now use.
Laramie was a mid-twentieth-century American maker of handmade Western boots, with surviving pairs commonly dated to the 1960s and 1970s and stamped "Laramie Handmade" inside. The boots favored thick, oil-tanned leather and restrained stitching over decorative flourishes, built more for durability than showpiece looks — classic ranch-boot thinking rather than parade-boot styling. The original company's founder, precise founding date, and location haven't surfaced in independent research, and the name has since been reused by other brands as a generic style label, which makes tracking the original maker's history harder than it would otherwise be.
Substantial, straightforward working-Western construction from the mid-1900s, including tall buckaroo styles that turn up fairly often in the vintage market under the "Laramie Handmade" stamp.
A genuine vintage handmade name, not the modern style of the same name.
