A Boot Collector Feature
A Venezuelan bootmaker that's been building its signature "Authentic Boot" since 1972, and shipping it to six continents from the same Caracas factory.
Loblan launched in Venezuela in 1959, building its early reputation on quality raw materials and skilled artisanal production. In 1972, the company introduced what became its defining product, marketed simply as "The Authentic Boot" — a classic Western design built around aesthetics, comfort, and durability, offered across a range of model variations ever since.
More than six decades later, Loblan still manufactures out of Caracas using traditional Goodyear welt construction, and has expanded well beyond its original Western boot line into hiking, casual, urban, biker, and industrial footwear. The brand now reaches well past South America, with distribution into Holland, England, Canada, the United States, Greece, Chile, and Colombia.
Longevity and reach unusual for a Western boot brand outside the United States or Mexico — a genuinely international company with a specifically Venezuelan origin, still running the same Goodyear-welt construction it built its name on half a century ago.
Sixty-five years in Caracas, and still shipping the same "Authentic Boot" concept around the world.
