The Story

Domingo Jauregui Sr. founded Mingo Boot Company in southeast El Paso, Texas in the 1970s, setting out to build a top-quality handcrafted cowboy boot for customers of any age. A Texas Monthly feature on the state's bootmakers later described the shop as run by his four sons, continuing their father's operation together. The company sources fine skins and vivid exotic colors, and will design a boot to close to anything a customer has in mind, alongside custom belts, golf shoes, wallets, and other leather goods made in-house.

What They're Known For

Affordable, handcrafted basics alongside fully custom and orthopedic styles — a wide range built to serve everyday customers as much as collectors, all from one family-run El Paso shop.

Pairs from smaller, custom, or long-closed makers rarely come up for sale, so this search may not find anything. It’s worth checking back now and then.
