A Bastrop retailer built on a family boot business that traces back to a grandfather's western wear store in 1965.
Marc and Shelly Conselman founded Texas Boot Company in 2010 in Bastrop, Texas, but the family's connection to the boot business goes back much further: Marc's grandfather opened a western wear store in Grand Prairie, Texas in 1965, giving the current shop a multigenerational foundation rather than a cold start. The store carries boots, apparel, and Western accessories, and also operates what it calls the Texas Boot Museum as part of its retail presence — a nod to the broader collector culture this series is built around.
